Saquon Barkley’s Pennsylvania home burglarized; police investigating

Philadelphia Eagles star Saquon Barkley’s Pennsylvania home was burglarized early Saturday morning, police said.

Tredyffrin Township officers responded to Barkley’s home in the Malvern area around 5:10 a.m. They received a report of a burglary in progress.

According to information obtained by Fox News Digital, the suspects fled before officers arrived.

Barkley and his family were not injured, according to police. Authorities did not say whether Barkley or his relatives were home at the time of the break-in.

Police have not announced any arrests. They also did not say what the burglars took, how they got into the house or how many people were involved.

Detectives are investigating a large white SUV that may be connected to the theft. Police released an image of the vehicle and asked for the public’s help in identifying it.

The Tredyffrin County Police Department said it had not received reports of similar activity elsewhere in the county. The Chester County District Attorney’s Office is assisting with the investigation.

The theft comes amid growing concerns about thieves targeting professional athletes.

Federal prosecutors charged seven Chilean citizens with burglarizing the homes of NFL and NBA players in February 2025. Prosecutors alleged the group targeted athletes who were away or playing in games. The suspects allegedly stole more than $2 million in cash, jewelry, watches and other valuables.

Barkley, 29, is preparing for his third season in Philadelphia. Eagles training camp begins July 28.

He rushed for 1,140 yards in 2025, his second consecutive 1,000-yard season with the team.

Barkley had a historic season a year ago. He won the 2024 NFL Offensive Player of the Year award and helped Philadelphia win the 2025 Super Bowl. He finished the regular season and playoffs with an NFL-record 2,504 rushing yards.

The Eagles signed Barkley to a two-year contract in March 2025. His contract will continue through the 2028 season.
