Saudi Arabian student, 20, stabbed to death while on placement in Cambridge

A Saudi Arab student was stabbed to death during a 10 -week settlement in Cambridge.

20 -year -old Muhammad Algasim died in Mill Park at 12.01 on Saturday, and a 21 -year -old man has been accused of murder since then.

Cambridgeshire police said Algasim was in a 10 -week settlement in Cambridge.

Cambridge, a private school that offers English language courses to EF International Language Campuses Overseas Students, said that it was “deeply upset” to verify that one of the students is dead.

‘Unmasked attack’

Cambridgeshire police said on Monday that Algasim was believed to be “stabbed in an unreacited attack”.

After Mortem, the exam is expected to take place on Tuesday.

Force, Cambridge, Chas Corrigan from the Holbrook Road was accused of having a murder and having a knife in a public place.

Corrigan is scheduled to appear on Monday at the Peterborough Magistrate Court.

A 50 -year -old man from Cambridge was arrested on suspicion of helping a criminal. He’s staying in custody.

Flower tributes were left at the scene.

A message on a paper banded in a barrier behind the screens said, “May your soul be in peace,” he said and had heart shapes.

It is also an Arabic expression, which means “inna lillahi walahi Wa inna ilhi raji”, which means ği we return to God and Him to which we belong ”.

EF International Language Campuses Cambridge told Telegraph: uz We are very sorry to verify that one of our adult students has been deadly injured in the public sphere.

“Emergency services immediately answered, but the student died tragically.

“We work closely with the local police who investigate the incident and confirm their arrests.

“The security and prosperity of our students is our greatest priority. We provide support to all students and staff affected by this tragic activity and organize consultancy sessions.”

Private school added: “We will not make any more comments while the investigation continues.”

Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Det Insp Dale Mepstead said: “The investigation continues and we continue to call the information that has not yet come to contact us.”
