The immersion regiments of Ganesh idols began with the first ‘Manchash’ (elite and respected) idol of Kasba Ganesh Mandal in Anant Chaturdashi on the last day of the 10 -day festival in Pune.
Maharashtra Deputy Prime Minister Ajit Pawar, Civil Aviation State Minister Murlidhar Mohol and Minister Chandrakant Patil joined the regiment of Kasba Ganpati, who began between the sounds of ‘DHOL Tasha’ in the morning.
Pune police had published a detailed time schedule for the dipping procession, and urged the manases of all ‘Manche Ganpathy’ idols to end up in time and ensure that they do not reach until the next day.
A beautiful decorated Palanquin, which was decorated with flowers and carries the idol of Kasba Ganpathi, was welcomed by Pawar, Mohol and Patil before setting out for the regiment.
Speaking with reporters, Mohol said, “This year the pegs decided to start the regiments early. I’m sure I’m sure we can finish them in a record time.” He said. Other four Manche Ganapati – Tambadi Jogeshwari, Guruji Talim, Tulshibaug and Kesriwada Mandals – began their regiments.
