In the seventh episode of the series, ‘The Unluckiest Winner’, Carmen and Alan appeared as holiday representatives respectively.

Released in 1989, the premise saw the Trotters and Cassandra (Gwyneth Strong) travel to Mallorca, Spain, for a week-long road trip.

Rodney accepted the trip after winning an art contest, but he had to pretend to be 14 years old to accept the prize.

Neither Carmen nor Alan were fully convinced Rodney was a teenager and said it was ‘remarkable’.

Del Boy helped perpetuate the ruse as he claimed: ‘His late mother was a very tall woman, six feet tall.’

But Rodney was given a badge and the agent told him: ‘You’re now a member of the great gang for life.

‘This is just an idea we came up with to help kids really feel like they’re part of it.

‘Every time one of the organizers asks, ‘Are you having fun?’ You kids all shout ‘great!’

One fan wrote to X: ‘Oh, definitely an all-time episode!’

Another added: ‘Oh my god this is amazing, I mean…amazing.’

A third said: ‘Just one of the masterpiece episodes of Fools and Horses.’

A fourth said: ‘My favorite OFAH episode so far…thank you!!’

A fifth said: ‘Still perfect to this day.’

This comes as star Sir David Jason previously sent fans into a frenzy after his unexpected reprise of his role as Del Boy.

The 86-year-old actor recalled his days in Only Fools and Horses during an appearance on the Chris Moyles Show on Radio X.

He was describing how he took on the character of a dashing stock trader in South London, when he once again brazenly donned Del Boy’s iconic voice.

Presenter Chris Moyles eagerly asked him: ‘Can I say hello to Del Boy?’

Prodding David to respond in Del Boy’s accent: ‘Yeah, go for it then mate’, sending the whole studio into a frenzy.

Chris squealed with excitement and added: ‘Oh, look, even that! This is truly amazing!’

Listeners were stunned to hear David use the iconic accent once again, and praised him for getting in on the joke on Instagram.

Comments included: ‘I loved this’; ‘Nothing but love for David Jason’; ‘Absolute symbol’; ‘Such a legend’; ‘What a beautiful soul this man has.’

David also talked about how easy he found it to be Del Boy, and rubbished some actors’ claims that they needed hours to sit quietly and call out their characters.

‘I can wear a costume and I’m almost in character. In other words, I don’t think much about it. “That gives me five or 10 minutes to start getting in there,” he shared.

‘A big part of it is the bravado, it’s the character I based it on. The purpose of this story is; All the characters I’ve played – Pop Larkin, Del Boy and others – basically wear the coat and you wear the character.

‘It works for me now. One of the things that bothers me the most is that when I read or hear stories of some players who have to stay quiet, they say, “Don’t talk to me, stay there.” I want to be on my own.”

‘Why? “I need to get into character, and I need to get into character this morning.” And I think you’ll do me a favor.

‘And it bothers me because you put yourself above everyone else who is part of the team. It’s like you’re here, you’re part of the team.’
