Seven ISIS brides on way back to Australia after leaving Syrian camp
The remaining 7 women and 14 children left the Roj camp in Syria, which has links to ISIS, and set out to return to Australia.
Camp director Haval Rashid confirmed that the women left the camp overnight towards the Syrian capital Damascus, where they were expected to be met by representatives of their Australian supporters and brought home.
It is unclear when they will return to Australia, but the woman and five of the seven children are expected to return to Sydney and two women and seven children are expected to return to Melbourne.
When an earlier group of four women and nine children returned with family members on May 7, three of the women were arrested. Two of them were charged with crimes against humanity related to enslavement and slave use, and one was charged with entering a terrorist zone.
