Severe weather affects July Fourth events in D.C., New York and Philadelphia

Fourth of July events on the East Coast were evacuated as severe weather affected America’s 250th anniversary celebrations in D.C., New York City and Philadelphia. In the capital, more than 10,000 attendees were told to shelter in buildings near the National Mall as storms approached.
