Shaikpet Campus Gets Surprise Check

Hyderabad: Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Association (TGWREIS) secretary Vijeyendira Boyi made an unannounced visit to TGSWRS and Junior College for Boys in Shaikpet on Friday morning and inspected hostels, kitchen and food stores while reviewing student welfare and academic performance.
When he arrived around 11 a.m., the Public Interim Exams were going on as the campus doubled as an exam center. Staff were instructed to carry out rigorous cleaning throughout the facility. He checked the dining hall and the vegetable sorting process and asked how spoiled ingredients were handled. Manager N. Balaswamy clarified that such items are recorded and returned to the supplier.
Pointing to sacks of rice stacked on the walls in the warehouse, Vijeyendira Boyi directed the authorities to purchase stands to ensure proper storage.
Balaswamy noted that the institution recorded around 94 per cent results in SSC and Intermediate exams. The secretary called on staff to work to achieve 100 percent results and said surprise inspections would continue.
