Shaun Cassidy calls late father Jack Cassidy a ‘phony’ showman

Former Teen Idol Shaun Cassidy called his deceased father Broadway and the television star Jack Cassidy as “fake” and said he was more entertainer than the parent.

Shaun, an old young heartbeat rising to fame in the 1970s, said that his half -brothers, including the actor Patrick and the deceased David, saw the carefully built façade.

“My father was very complicated,” Shaun said, now 67, during an interview People.

Despite his complex relationships, Shaun, who was only 18 years old at that time, said he had learned to take room for both painful and gifts left behind.

“He wasn’t a good father – and I’m not saying this with disrespect. I just say it with impartiality,” he said. “And I still wouldn’t exchange him for the world. I bought a lot of gifts from him.”

Shaun told people that growth in the light of spotlight was not all glow and glam.

His famous parents, “WC Fields and Me”, reflected his childhood with Star Jack and Shirley Jones who won Oscar.

Shaun admitted that the world saw a perfect Hollywood couple, but the reality was very different at home.

“Indeed, who they are is not already perceived by the people. The people have an idea about who they are. If you grow up in a folk family, everything is a very presentation.”

In the 90s, he returned to a new episode behind the stage as a successful television writer and producer.

In the late 1970s, Shaun rose to fame in the early 1980s as both young idol and entertainer.

He released a series of pop albums that appeal to a young audience.

His first album “Shaun Cassidy” in 1977 was also included in Doo Ron Ron in Hit 1. He also appeared as Joe Hardy in ABC’s “Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries”.

In the mid -1990s, he launched series, including almost entirely “American Gothic”, “Roar” and “New Amsterdam”.

Today, Shaun is worth time with his mother. Now 91 -year -old Jones is still healthy.

Shaun told AARP, “We are still looking at our children and now we look at our parents because they live longer – oh, what a load!” I read the people who said.
