Shawn Clark dies: Ex-college football head coach passes away after medical emergency

The school said on Monday, the UCF Knights attack line Shawn Clark, died about two weeks after being hospitalized for a medical emergency. He was 50 years old.

Clark had a health problem on 9 September and was far from the team. I was told to be stable in the hospital last week. The team did not explain the official situation at that time.

“Shawn was much more than a coach,” UCF head coach Scott Frost said. He said. “He was a remarkable man, husband and father who deeply cared about his players and staff. The reaction of our players and coaches to the news this morning is a proof of Shawn’s character and the impact of every life he touches.”

Clark joined the Knights program after he spent five years as the chief coach of Appalachian State climbers.

Alma Mater, which was from 2019 to 2024, was the head coach of Appalachian State. New Orleans Bowl was generally 40-24 and 3-1 with a win at Myrtle Beach Bowl and Cure Bowl.

The school, in an article in X, “App State graduate, football All-American and former head coach Shawn Clark’ın very sorry for passing. Shawn’s family and everyone who knows and loves the deepest sympathy.” He said.

He started his coaching career in 2001 as a graduate assistant for Louisville Cardinals. Eastern Kentucky was an aggressive line coach with the Colonel, PurDe Bosermers and Kent State Golden Flash. In 2016, he was the attack line coach of the mountaineers and then the attack coordinator before he took over as a head coach.
