Pilar Sanders posted a video showing her in the kitchen preparing a huge seafood meal, including fried shrimp and lobster. The comment at the top of the post asked him: “Are you cooking all this up for Shedeur to be named QB2?”
The mother responded with a mysterious expression.

“Yes for Shedeur – we know 2 is always 1 – the matrix will try to make you believe anything hahahahah – never fall for made up stories,” he wrote. He did not clarify or specify what he was talking about.
Sanders, the son of NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, who coached him at the University of Colorado, has been the subject of intense media scrutiny and speculation since he was drafted in April.
After the Browns traded veteran quarterback Joe Flacco to the Cincinnati Bengals earlier this week, fans and pundits speculated whether Sanders would be elevated to the second-string job or remain in the third-string role behind Bailey Zappe.
The quarterback was the subject of one of the most shocking drops in NFL Draft history in April, falling from a potential No. 1 overall prospect to No. 144 in the fifth round.
On the Tuesday before the draft, NFL Media released A roundup of the top 18 prospects in this year’s class.
Sanders’ segment included comments from an unnamed assistant coach: Sanders “was the worst official interview I’ve ever been in. He’s so right. He takes unnecessary sacks. He never plays on time. He has terrible body language. He blames his teammates… But most importantly, he’s not that good.”
A long-time anonymous manager added: “Our meeting didn’t go very well. He wants to dictate what he does and what’s best for him. He makes you feel small.”
NFL Hall of Fame Eric Dickerson He fueled conspiracy theories about Sanders in an August interview, claiming NFL teams were told “not to draft” the quarterback Sanders fell to in the fifth round to “set an example.”

“I’ll tell you this, what I heard from someone in the NFL [is] what the NFL says [teams]’Don’t draft him into the army. “Don’t draft him,” Dickerson said in an interview on AM 570 LA Sports’ “Roggin and Rodney” show.
“‘We’ll make an example of him.’ And this came from a very good source, a very good source. They weren’t going to draft him to basically show you that ‘this is what happens when you do this’. I mean look, the NFL has all kinds of power. They do all kinds of things.”
Sanders’ exit in the first round shocked many; This includes President Trump, who posted on Truth Social condemning the league’s owners for passing on the quarterback.
“What’s wrong with NFL owners, idiots? Deion Sanders was a great football player in college and even more successful in the NFL. He’s also a very good coach, streetwise and smart! So his quarterback son Shedeur has PHENOMENAL GENES and is all set for Greatness,” Trump wrote. “Must be ‘selected’ NOW by a team that wants to WIN. Good luck Shedeur and say hello to your wonderful dad!”
ESPN host Stephen A. Smith revealed a text message citing “collusion” from an employee who compared the situation to Colin Kaepernick not being in the NFL since 2016.
“‘This is a bad look for the NFL. This feels like Kaepernick-level collusion,'” Smith said of the text’s content, adding that the situation went beyond “talent evaluation.”

“All the hard work the NFL League Office has done to dispel such perceptions, only to turn around and watch the OWNERS look like they were colluding, screwing everything up. What was done to Shedeur will overshadow everything else in this draft. We will never again believe that this is just about talent evaluation.”
Sanders has yet to start an NFL regular season game, but he could make his debut this Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers if starter and fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel has to leave the game for any reason.
