Man shot dead by police after domestic dispute north of Brisbane
Police have shot dead a man after being called to a domestic violence incident at a property north of Brisbane.
Officers attended the home on Cavill Road in Narangba at around 12.30pm following reports that a man with a firearm was making threats.
It is alleged that the man approached the police and made threats with a firearm. As a result, he was shot.
Police teams provided first aid and heart massage, but the man could not be revived and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Paramedics took three family members to the hospital for emotional support.
It is not known whether the man has any domestic or family violence orders against him or whether he is known to police.
The Ethical Standards Command unit is investigating the incident.
