Shia LaBeouf arrested on battery charges in New Orleans during Mardi Gras | Shia LaBeouf

Actor Shia LaBeouf was arrested early Tuesday for alleged battery in New Orleans after apparently spending the long weekend partying all over the city during Mardi Gras.
The New Orleans police department confirmed that around 12:45 a.m. Tuesday, officers were called to the Faubourg Marigny, located next to the French Quarter, the heart of the festivities, where LaBeouf allegedly became increasingly aggressive at the Royal Street Inn and Bar.
Court documents allege that the bar manager tried to force LaBeouf out of the bar, while the actor tried to hit him. The actor then allegedly punched a male customer who was helping the bar manager after he was picked up, before turning around and punching a second man in the nose.
LaBeouf was then held down by bystanders until police arrived and he was taken to the hospital. He was later discharged, arrested and charged with two counts of simple battery.
He is scheduled for an initial hearing Tuesday afternoon, at the height of New Orleans’ weeks-long annual carnival celebrations.
Celebrity gossip outlet TMZ He posted a video of LaBeouf allegedly shot early Tuesday morning, showing him topless and talking to someone else. The video then reportedly shows the actor being treated by paramedics.
Reports of LaBeouf engaging in unruly behavior in New Orleans have been emerging for several days. said Robert Skuse, doorman at Miss Mae’s, a local bar. Hollywood Reporter the actor appeared in “a bit of a belligerent state”.
“In the midst of the chaos, ‘Do you know who I am?’ a little bit,” Skuse said.
LaBeouf was reportedly asked to leave after he got behind the bar and tried to serve drinks to customers.

British singer FKA twigs, whose real name is Tahliah Barnett, sued LaBeouf in 2020 for sexual battery, assault and infliction of emotional distress, alleging a “brutal” pattern of harassment.
