‘Single in my 30s’ influencer Amelia Liana, has flabbergasted fans by revealing she’s secretly MARRIED. Now, insiders tell MOLLY CLAYTON how she cynically hid her man and why she’s ‘obsessed with creating a fake persona…’

For most of her career, Amelia Liana has been sharing dramatic dating stories, relationship grievances, and stories of heartbreak with her 2 million followers on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. In fact, at times it seemed like the 34-year-old had no filter when it came to what she wanted to share about her personal life.
Indeed, Amelia’s videos of first dates, fleeting romances, and breakups have generated significant commercial success, as well as garnering millions of views and loyal engagement from fans.
But now some viewers are asking whether that persona is the whole picture, or just a character carefully designed to keep people watching.
Because on Sunday, the social media star dropped a bombshell: she had secretly gotten married.
Not only that, Amelia had not even revealed to her fans that she was in a relationship and was posting about the ‘single life’ just a few days before getting married to surprise them. This is a far cry from the modus operandi of most influencers and celebrities, who document their relationships, proposals, and nuptials in real time for the enjoyment of their followers.
On Sunday, Amelia posted on YouTube ‘I GOT MARRIED!!!!’ He released a 30-minute announcement video titled. However, although the details of her ceremony were revealed, any information about the identity of her new husband, how they met, the exact date of their wedding and even how long they had been together was kept secret.
Amelia Liana has built her career around dramatic dating stories that have led to millions of views and loyal engagement from her fans.
The influencer posted on YouTube: ‘I GOT MARRIED!!!!’ released a 30-minute announcement video titled, which shocked some viewers
‘I’ve kept it secret for a long time,’ he said, explaining that after years of sharing relationships online, he decided to draw strict boundaries in his private life.
‘I’ve decided that the next relationship I will share online will be my husband,’ she said. ‘It was very difficult to be online and not scream and shout from the rooftops.’
While many stunned followers offered their best wishes to Amelia, the reaction wasn’t entirely positive; Some fans felt blindsided and even betrayed by the news.
An insider told me: ‘There’s a difference between valuing privacy and keeping a relationship out of the public eye.
‘But in this case, he allegedly spent months, if not years, presenting himself as single and convincing his followers of something that was not true.’
Amelia framed her decision as a move to establish healthy boundaries with her fans, but some of her followers beg to differ.
One viewer commented: ‘Up until now I have been taking your videos as they appear and now I can see that everything is planned in advance. ‘I’m seriously questioning whether I’ll ever watch one of these again.’
Another wrote: ‘What was the point of long explanations about how ‘you’re behind in life’ and repeating over and over that you’re single… Could have been done differently by maintaining your boundaries.’
Just weeks ago, Amelia was still posting about being single in her thirties, traveling, and leading her life independently.
A YouTube video posted in late March was titled ‘Single in my 30s’ and said: ‘When something serious happens, you’ll get the update.’
The entire video seemed designed to give the impression that he wasn’t in a relationship.
A few weeks later, in another video, the influencer talked about being single again.
He said: ‘Whenever I get married, you’ll be given a ‘dating package’ [a rundown] ‘Everyone I’ve dated.’
It looks like Amelia’s influencer friends have been in on this charade for a while, too.
Close friend and influencer Audrey Peters commented under one of Amelia’s posts about the wedding: ‘The hardest secret I’ve ever had to keep in my life.’
One viewer commented on his video: ‘What was the point of your long explanations about how far behind you are in life and repeating over and over that you’re single?’
Any information about her new husband’s identity, how they met, the exact date of their wedding and even how long they have been together is being kept secret.
This secrecy is perhaps no surprise, considering that Amelia’s former engagement, which was heavily documented online at the time, ended in major public heartbreak.
The social media star got engaged to a man we know only as ‘Robert’ in 2018 and documented what she believed would happen in the lead-up to her wedding.
However, six months after their engagement, the wedding was canceled and the couple broke up.
In the following months, Amelia documented her grief online and shared her vulnerability at the time with fans.
However, an insider told me that Amelia may have made a mistake in deceiving her fans.
They said: ‘Influencers seem obsessed with creating fake personas.
‘They create loyal followers who support them for years and help them achieve wealth and success, but those same followers discover that much of what they are shown is fake or misleading.
‘The fact that he now plans to produce wedding content after keeping such a large part of his life private sounds, to some, like just another opportunity to cash in on an already carefully cultivated audience.
‘This raises the question: How much of what influencers share is authentic and how much is designed primarily to maximize views, likes and engagement?’
Amelia insisted she did not intend to mislead her followers but admitted yesterday that she had edited videos to eliminate signs of her affair, including editing footage of her engagement ring showing on camera.
‘I had to keep cutting the footage because I was going to wear my ring,’ he said. ‘I made a video, then deleted it and re-uploaded it.’
In hindsight, some fans say the clues were there all along.
A ring box has previously appeared in the background of videos, and earlier this year she was seen wearing a hair clip with the word ‘wife’ on it in photos on social media.
And in early June, she posted photos from Paris dressed in all white, fueling some speculation that a wedding was taking place or that she was heading to a bachelorette party.
So what To do Do we have any news about the wedding yet?
I was told that the dress code for guests was black tie, that Amelia was carrying a £20,000 Hermes Celeste Mini Kelly bag as ‘something blue’ and that the bridal make-up was done by celebrity make-up artist Amir Sdiri.
Sources say guests were asked to sign confidentiality agreements and sworn to secrecy until they were ready to reveal their marriage on their own terms. I can also tell you that Amelia and her bridal party got ready at the £900-a-night London Dorchester Hotel.
But after years of building a career around sharing her life online, her biggest personal breakthrough also reignited a broader question for influencers.
Where is the line between privacy and personality? So when a target audience helps build their brand, how much of the truth should they expect in return?
