Six Flags Over Georgia tree fall during storm sends 4 people to hospital

Four guests were hospitalized after a tree fell near the entrance of Six Flags Over Georgia due to severe weather Sunday.
Six Flags Over Georgia said in a statement to Fox News Digital that the incident occurred as powerful storms passed through the Austell, Georgia area.
“During severe weather conditions affecting the park, medical personnel and local emergency services responded to four guests who were struck by a fallen tree near the park entrance,” Six Flags said in a statement shared with Fox News Digital. he said.

The venue also stated, “Guests were transported to a local hospital for further evaluation.” he said.
According to reports, the National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the area as storms moved through metro Atlanta on Sunday evening.

Park officials did not identify the four guests or provide an update on their conditions.
A video shared on Facebook It appeared to show the aftermath of the incident, as fire trucks, ambulances and other emergency vehicles lined up at the park’s entrance while first responders worked near downed trees and large branches.

The person who posted the video described the incident, which began before a sudden storm ripped through the area, as a “relaxing day at Six Flags,” adding that the tree fell near the exit walkway as guests were leaving the park.
“Prayers for the injured people,” the user wrote.

In the posts shared on Reddit, it was seen that a large tree fell on a part of the park, and users claimed that this tree also fell on the track of the Mindbender roller coaster.

“The stake didn’t look like it was bent. But it was thick wood so I couldn’t tell if anything was broken,” one user wrote.
Six Flags has not confirmed whether any attractions were damaged or park operations were affected.
