Sen. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wrote on social media Saturday that Senate Democrats should “activate the National Guard” in response to the second shooting of an American citizen by ICE agents in Minneapolis. “Governor, you have Minnesota National Guard troops. Deploy them. Arrest ICE agents. Enforce the law and protect your people against Trump’s Terrorists.” wrote Keith Olbermann in response to Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz on Saturday.
(Walz wrote early Saturday morning: “I spoke with the White House this morning following another horrific attack by federal agents. This happened in Minnesota. This is sickening. The President must end this operation. Thousands of violent, untrained police officers must be removed from Minnesota. Now.”

Megyn Kelly suggested The agency and Donald Trump are pursuing a different course of action, but he still found an aggressive way to do it. “The President should remove ICE from MN today and announce that there will no longer be immigration enforcement in MN. All illegals in the US are encouraged to move there,” she wrote on social media. “And if any illegals are found outside of MN and deported, they will never be able to apply for re-entry.”
Others noted the agents’ behavior in the field.
“The behavior of these agents is appalling. It is clear that they are untrained.” wrote Chuck Todd Before quoting an article from AP. “‘After the shooting, an angry mob gathered and shouted profanities at the federal officers, calling them ‘cowards’ and telling them to go home. As one officer walked away, he responded sarcastically and told them: ‘Boo hoo.’ Agents elsewhere pushed a screaming protester into a car.’”
“So the ‘everyone should be armed’ second amendment crowd is using the fact that a man is (perhaps) armed as justification?” asked CNN’s Adam Kinzinger. “Is this true?”
Sarah Longwell, founder and publisher of Bulwark reported ICE agents We are not cooperating with local authorities in Minneapolis. “Turn on your TV and watch this update. I can’t believe it. DHS/ICE is not cooperating with local law enforcement. And they seem extremely unhappy about it. They have to work from video, like the rest of us.”
