Snapchat not working in India? Check latest update on outage and what AWS said about it

Snapchat, one of the most popular photo-sharing apps among young users, is currently experiencing a major outage in India. So far, nearly 6,000 users have reported being unable to share photos and video clips on the platform. According to reports, approximately 91% of affected users are experiencing login issues, 6% are unable to upload clips, and 3% are experiencing issues accessing their streams.

Indian users have been disappointed that the issue has not yet been resolved by Snapchat and no official update has been released. Outage reports on Down Detector have increased to nearly 6,000. For the uninitiated, Down Detector is a website that monitors and provides real-time information about service outages across various applications, software, and networks.

AWS said it is seeing increased “error rates and delays” for multiple services. “We are working on multiple parallel paths to accelerate recovery,” he said in his latest update.
AWS provides on-demand computing power, data storage and other digital services to companies, governments and individuals. Outages in its servers can cause outages on websites and platforms that rely on cloud infrastructure. AWS competes with cloud services from Google and Microsoft.
