Snow room to feature in wellness business expansion to western suburbs

Just like the health business, there is also a profit business.

A private snow room is the big ticket item for a new wellness business planned to open in the western suburbs.

Merse Wellness Spa is preparing to bring its luxurious rest and relaxation experience to its new 900 m2 space in Claremont.

Demand has led the business to expand to a second location less than a year after opening its first store in Osborne Park last October.

Founders Bianca Marshall and Julia Tilli said the expansion proved Perth’s growing hunger for wellness experiences.

“The community response has been incredible,” they said.

“Modern lifestyles are incredibly fast-paced and people are looking for ways to slow down, recover, reconnect and feel better.

“And so much of our growth has come from listening closely to our members and truly getting feedback. We’re constantly evolving our experience based on what our community wants and what they value most in wellness.”

Featuring real snow, the snow room experience is designed to allow customers to gradually cool their bodies between a sauna, steam room or magnesium spa.

“This experience is designed to provide an immersive and calming feeling while also supporting circulation, healing and nervous system regulation,” said Bianca and Julia.

The new location will also feature Reformer Pilates, cold plunge pools, relaxation areas, relaxation areas and a café.

The Claremont center will be Merse’s fifth center in Australia. There are three spas in Queensland.

Marshall and Tilli said the new space is a step up from the Osborne Park space’s signature hot and cold bath experience.

“Claremont is a very natural fit for Merse,” they said.

“The west suburban community has a strong emphasis on health, wellness and lifestyle.

“Claremont is also one of Perth’s premier lifestyle suburbs, so the area aligns strongly with the superior experience we aim to create at Merse.

“We also loved the strong sense of community in the area and felt there was a real opportunity to create a wellness center that people could not only visit occasionally but incorporate into their daily routine.”

There are plans to expand to new locations on both sides of the river.

Merse Wellness is scheduled to open in Claremont this summer.
