Spook-tacular Strictly! Lewis Cope achieves the first 40 of the series as he blows the judges away with his sensational couple’s choice dance for Halloween week

Halloween week is back once again as this year’s couples and judges don their scariest outfits for the spooky celebrations.
And Lewis Cope stunned the judges as he took the top 40 of the series for his couple’s dance of choice with a speedy version of Radiohead’s Creep.
Considering she grew up in Hartlepool with her 13 siblings, Lewis left home when she was just 10 to live in London and pursue her performing career, and admitted that she often missed her family, especially her Nanna Dot.
And certainly making his family proud, Lewis and his partner Katya Jones blew everyone away with their incredible performance full of surprises and tricks.
Leaving Motsi on her feet, Craig described the performance as ‘Terrible’, with Motsi adding that it was ‘out of this world’.
Meanwhile, Shirley broke down in tears as she thanked her parents for allowing Lewis to follow his dreams and share his talent with the country.
Anton added that it was the best of the series by ‘a million miles’ and he couldn’t do anything to make it better.

It’s not often he pulls out his 10 racket, but even Craig gave the duo a 10 for their first full score of the series.
After a groundbreaking week last week with her couple’s choice of dance, Vicky Pattison and partner Kai Widdrington opened the show with Bonnie Tyler’s terrifying American Smooth to Total Eclipse of The Heart.
Vicky, who was finally able to overcome her nerves after a few shaky weeks in the competition, burst into tears when Motsi Mabuse said that she was a strong candidate in the final and they started the night with 31 points.
Next up was Ellie Goldstein, who performed a terrifying Tango with her partner Vito Coppola to Lady Gaga’s Abracadabra.
The 23-year-old model, who received a standing ovation from the crowd, impressed the jury with her improved technique before receiving 27 points.
George Clarke, who found himself at the bottom of the leaderboard last week, is back this week looking to prove himself.
With Cha Cha to Charli XCX’s hit Apple, the TikTok star earned Craig Revel Horwood’s seal of approval, praising her hip movement.
Speaking to host Claudia Winkleman, he admitted: ‘Yes we had a bit of a downturn last week and I think I just want to prove that I’m not plateauing.’

Next up was Ellie Goldstein, who danced a terrifying Tango with her husband Vito Coppola to Lady Gaga’s song Abracadabra.
Looks like the hard work paid off after scoring 29 points.
La Voix, who said last week that she might be in the running to replace Tess Daly as the show’s host, won her own audition while introducing her own dance for this week’s show.
Anton Du Beke, who performed the Paso Doble, gave a sweet nod to the late Len Goodman, saying the former judge would have loved the star’s dance.
And this was certainly reflected in the scores as they achieved an incredible 35 points.

‘I first started in this industry when I was 21 years old. I made some bad decisions. At that age, I don’t think I had the tools to navigate the space I was in.
‘I’m now doing my best to be a better version of myself, someone I can look in the mirror and be proud of.
‘I’m doing this incredible show, it’s worth it when I look out into the audience and see my mum, dad and sister’s faces.
‘What I’ve learned about myself is that with determination and a little self-belief you can achieve things.’
