Socialist New York congressional candidate Darializa Avila Chevalier is facing criticism after the deletion of her social media account, which contained posts in which she expressed respect for communism, Marxist principles and Soviet figures.
Avila Chevalier, supported by New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani and the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), operated the Darializabonet Twitter account until it was deleted in June 2022.
