Some people make empty speeches on Hindutva while I am building 152 temples: Karnataka Minister

While strengthening Hinduism by building more than 152 temples in her constituency, Karnataka Minister and Congress leader Laxmi Hebbalkar said some people repeatedly refer to Hindutva in their speeches.
Women and Child Welfare Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar said after performing Bhoomi Puja on January 20 for developmental projects including concrete roads, construction of sewers, laying pavers, she said: “Some people just say Hindu-Hindu in their speeches but I am saving Hindu culture by building more than 152 temples. Those who go around making such speeches are not doing anything for Hindus. I am not just giving speeches, Hindu I’m saving the culture.” ₹ 7 crore in Shindolli village of Belagavi Rural Assembly constituency.
“Seven years ago, I told you that I would show you how the district could be developed. Now I have kept my promise. I am developing a rural neighborhood that is on the path of development. Let’s not slow down this pace of development. You see development everywhere. You accepted me as your child and I serve you,” he said.
“I am not one to sit idle after being elected. I am exploring all avenues of development. I approach ministers and civil servants, get grants and schemes. Thanks to such consistent efforts, Belagavi Rural constituency has become well known in Karnataka. Each village in my constituency has funds of around ₹ 5-10 million. Whenever there is a village fair or festival, I see it as a chance to develop the entire village,” he said.
He said his relatives – MLC’s brother Channaraj Hattiholi and youth Congress leader son Mrunal Hebbalkar – entered politics not to enjoy power but to serve the people. “We earn your love by serving people to the best of our ability,” he said.
Among those who attended the event were community leaders Suresh Patil, Raju Patil, Sheela Thippannagol, Ningappa Shahapurkar, Suresh Mukhandi, Nagesh Desai and Panchayat Development Officer Sridevi Hiremath.
