A police manhunt has been launched after a man reportedly failed to comply with Sex Offenders Register reporting requirements following his release from prison. Darren Inkpen, 55, was released from prison on November 13.

Police said Inkpen was staying at a hotel in Leeds but “did not register an address” and did not attend his probation appointment. West Yorkshire Police are searching for him and have appealed for anyone with information that could help locate the 55-year-old to contact them after carrying out “extensive arrest investigations” to locate him.

It has links to the Kent and Sussex area and is believed to be in the Broadstairs area of ​​Kent or Newhaven in Sussex. LeedsLive reports.

Police said: “Police are appealing for information to locate Darren Inkpen, who is wanted for failing to comply with the reporting requirements of the Sex Offenders Register.

“Inkpen, 55, was released from prison on November 13 and was due to stay in a hotel in Leeds. But he failed to register an address and failed to turn up for his parole appointment.

“Officers have carried out extensive arrest investigations to find Inkpen and are now appealing for the public’s help.

“They released two photos of Inkpen, one more recent than the other.

“He has links to Kent and the Sussex area and is thought to be possibly in the Broadstairs area of ​​Kent or Newhaven in Sussex.”
