South Asian University student sexually assaulted in Delhi, FIR registered

A student at South Asian University (SAU) in Delhi was allegedly sexually assaulted and an FIR has been registered in the matter, police said on Tuesday (October 14, 2025).

Police did not share details of the incident.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Ankit Chauhan said in an official statement that a PCR call regarding the incident received at Maidan Garhi police station around 3 pm on Monday, following which a police team reached the college campus.

The call was made by someone the girl knew. He said he is currently under counseling.

“Based on the statement of the victim, an FIR has been registered under appropriate sections. The matter is being investigated with due sensitivity and priority,” the DCP said. he said.
