Sridhar Babu Accuses KTR of Provoking Youth

Karimnagar: IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu on Sunday accused BRS working president KT Rama Rao of misleading and agitating unemployed youth for political gain.

Speaking to media persons in Karimnagar, the minister alleged that BRS, which failed to make Group-I recruitment during its decade-long rule, is now trying to create law and order problems by instigating job aspirants.

He said unemployed youth had already suffered because of delays in recruitment and warned that participation in protests leading to criminal cases could adversely affect their future.

Sridhar Babu said that the last Group-I recruitment examination before the formation of Telangana was held in 2011 in the then undivided Andhra Pradesh and claimed that no Group-I recruitment has been completed between 2011 and 2024. He questioned what explanation BRS had given for the long delay and said the party should apologize to unemployed youth.

The minister said the Congress government has fulfilled the aspirations of job seekers by completing the recruitment of around 600 Group-I posts. He noted that candidates, including those currently serving as municipal commissioners in Tandur, Vikarabad, Parigi and Jagtial, have received their appointments after waiting for nearly a decade.

Reiterating Congress’s election promise to fill two lakh vacancies, Sridhar Babu said the government was determined to complete recruitment to all vacant posts. He said unlike the previous BRS government, which allegedly halted recruitment when the case was filed, the current government had resumed the process after addressing legal issues.

Responding to Rama Rao’s remarks about Hyderabad Central Library, the minister said that BRS has no moral right to talk about unemployed youths. He urged job aspirants to have faith in the Congress government and said it was committed to providing them a brighter future.

Regarding the implementation of the job schedule, Sridhar Babu said the government has consulted legal experts to resolve reservation-related issues before finalizing the process so that recruitment will continue without legal issues.
