A major fire at an industrial park has led to the closure of a major A road and a warning to residents. Firefighters respond to a fire at the Q Park industrial area in South Woodchester Wednesday afternoon. While emergency teams intervened in the fire, residents were asked to keep their doors and windows closed due to smoke coming from the area. The A46 was also closed in both directions from Station Road to the Culver Hill junction.

Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service said in an initial statement about the incident: “We are responding to a fire at the Q Park industrial estate in South Woodchester. The A46 is currently closed in both directions from Station Road to the junction with Culver Hill. We would advise residents to keep windows and doors closed due to the amount of smoke from the fire.”
