Union action set to wreak havoc across NSW lifts, escalators

Elevator technicians throughout NSW refuse to start as part of the union action after a fault in payment negotiations with a multinational employer.
The Electrical Trade Union (ETU) confirmed that its members refused to take jobs for 10 days after “negotiations değil with Schindler Lifts, a Swiss company responsible for the elevator, curious and moving walking paths.
The Union of Disclosed Technicians will meet outside the company’s head office on Wednesday to celebrate the 10 -day strike action.
ETU NSW Secretary Allen Hicks said Schindler Lifts puts institutional greed in front of workers’ rights ”.
“Our members are forced to take action because Schindler refuses to pay fair fees with the Schindler employees interchangeably, to pay safe jobs and payment,” he said.
“As a result of Schindler Lifts’ refusal to provide fair wages and conditions, ETU members had to stop working indefinitely.”
The Union claims that the company refused to commit the workers to the employees of the inter -state Schindler employees to commit the fair and safe use of the subcontractors and that the workers expect the claims that they expect to be paid back for business -related expenses.

The union action is expected to cause problems in offices, shopping centers and other places as escalators and elevators remain still on the 10th day.
ETU confirmed that technicians will still participate in life -threatening emergencies.
