Spiritual Library Open At Srisailam Temple

-Anantapur: The newly established Spiritual Library was inaugurated at Mallikarjuna Sadan on the Lord Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy temple premises at Srisailam in Nandyal district on Saturday; this marked a significant step towards promoting Hindu dharma and spiritual learning among devotees.

The library was inaugurated by Pothugunta Ramesh Naidu, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and M. Srinivasa Rao, executive officer, along with board members and special guests.

Currently, the library houses over 2,400 spiritual books, including over 1,000 titles from Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) and over 1,400 additional spiritual publications. The collection includes Puranas, Itihasas, devotional literature and other sacred texts.

Speaking at the event, president Ramesh Naidu said the Spiritual Library was established as part of efforts to spread Hindu dharma and provide devotees with access to authentic spiritual literature. He also announced that the old Tirupati Satram building near Gangadhara Mandapam will be demolished and a new Spiritual Library, museum and additional rooms will be built on the site.

Executive officer M. Srinivasa Rao said the library will help deepen devotional feelings and promote spiritual reflection among devotees. He added that the facility will be expanded in phases and more books will be procured from various spiritual authors and institutions. In addition to spiritual texts, the library also offers access to daily newspapers and monthly spiritual magazines.

Temple authorities appealed to devotees and local residents to make full use of the library. On the occasion, a recently published coffee table book on Srisailam Kshetram was presented to the members of the Board of Trustees.

-Anantapur: Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy temple board chairman Ramesh Naidu and EO Srinivasa Rao said Srisailam temple income and offerings have increased in the last few days. A total of 14 arjitha sevas, including Sparsha Darshanam and Seegra Darshanam, are now available online.

On Saturday alone, the temple earned ₹73.19 lakh from online seva ticket bookings and a similar amount from offline channels as well.
