Spotify (SPOT) q4 2025 earnings

SpotifyShares of the music streaming platform increased by 10% added more users And Strengthened features in new markets.

Here’s how the company performed compared to LSEG forecasts.

  • Revenues: 4.53 billion euros, while the expectation was 4.52 billion euros

Revenues increased 7% year over year in the fourth quarter.

The Swedish company said monthly active users rose 11% from a year ago to 751 million, topping the 744.7 million expected by analysts surveyed by FactSet. The number of paid subscribers increased 10% year over year to 290 million.

Spotify attributed the strong user growth to growth in Latin America, Europe and the rest of the world, and improvements to its mobile free tier.

The publisher’s 476 million ad-supported users also beat estimates, exceeding the 468.9 million StreetAccount had expected.

The company also launched audiobooks in new markets in the fourth quarter and launched more AI tools along with music videos for premium users.

This month, Spotify also increased prices for Premium users in the US, Estonia and Latvia.

The music platform said 2025’s “Spotify Wrapped” was the most successful song to date, listing users’ listening hours and the most popular songs at the end of the year. Spotify said that more than 300 million users have interacted with this feature, which has garnered more than 630 million shares on social media.

Net income rose to 1.17 billion euros, or 4.43 euros per share, from 367 million euros (1.76 euros per share) in the same period last year.

Looking ahead, Spotify expects to increase its monthly active users by 8 million to 759 million, beating FactSet’s forecast of 752.4 million. The total number of premium subscribers is expected to reach 293 million.

Spotify expects revenue for the current quarter to total 4.5 billion euros, with a 670 basis point downside from exchange rates on an annualized basis. This was below the estimate of 4.58 billion euros.
