Stan Grant’s book ‘When Words Fail Us’ is an invitation to disagree

I’m pretty sure he wasn’t aware of this fact, but Stan Grant and I have been through quite a journey over the years. In the early stages of this parallel existence, Stan was “just a journalist”; He was a journalist who I knew to be Indigenous, but whose Indigenousness was not the basis of his profession. Later, when he returned after several years abroad, Grant became increasingly synonymous with Indigenous spaces such as NITV and could often be heard commenting on Indigenous issues.

I don’t mind admitting that it disappointed me at the time.
