Queensland Police shoot man who allegedly confronted officers with a rifle

Queensland Police shot a man in the leg in Logan on Friday night after he allegedly confronted him with a rifle.

At 9pm on Friday, police went to an address on Caswell Road in Woodhill and found a man holding a rifle.

The man, aged in his 40s, is alleged to have advanced towards police following their investigation.

Queensland Police officers shot the man in the leg before administering first aid at the scene.

He was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital.

The man is currently in stable condition.

The matter will be investigated by the Ethical Standards Command under the supervision of the Crime and Corruption Commission.
