Starmer to co-chair Ukraine meeting after call with Trump and European leaders

Keir Starmer will chair a meeting with pro -Ukraine allies on Wednesday.
US President Donald Trump and European leaders come after a call to end Ukraine’s war against Russia.
Sir Keir will participate in a virtual call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
Mr. Trump and US Vice President JD Vance will then participate.
The Prime Minister will then chair the willing meeting coalition to update the wider partners in the discussions of the day.
The willing coalition is an international effort for a permanent peace led by England, France and Ukraine.
Canada consists of 31 countries, including 27 European countries, including 27 European countries, including Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
Before his call on Wednesday, a Downing Street spokesman said: “The Prime Minister focuses on this conflict based on the national interests of Ukraine.
“In Ukraine, Russia is determined to obtain a fair and lasting peace supported by solid and reliable security guarantees that will prevent Ukraine from threatening Ukraine in the future.”
This comes before the expected meeting between Mr. Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska on Friday.
The two leaders will be gathered to discuss the future of Kremlin’s occupation without Mr. Zelensky’s presence.
Ukrainian President said that he wanted Mr. Putin to withdraw from 30 percent of Kiev’s cease -fire agreement from the remaining 30 percent of Ukraine’s Donetsk region of Ukraine’s Donetsk region.
Zelensky explained that this was transferred to us by the authorities.
However, he reiterated that Ukraine would not withdraw from the regions that it was controlled because it was contrary to the constitution and that it would serve only as a jumpboard board for a future Russian invasion.
Mr. Trump also said that Ukraine thought that he should leave the area to end the conflict and that he was “some black wearing”.
Speaking at a long press conference on Monday, Mr. Trump promised Ukraine’s “property on the coast of the ocean” from Russia “to try to return ..
He said: “We will change the lines, the war lines. Russia occupied a large part of Ukraine. They occupied a very main region. We will try to get some of this region back for Ukraine.
“They took it to a great extent – in the real estate we call it the property of the ocean coast. This is always the most valuable property.”
A statement published by the European Union on Tuesday should be respected: “Fair and permanent peace, independence, sovereignty, regional integrity, and the lack of forced change of international borders, which bring stability and security.
“The people of Ukraine must have the freedom to decide on their future.
“In Ukraine, the path of peace cannot be decided without Ukraine.
“Significant negotiations can only happen in the context of the reduction of ceasefire or hostility.”
In contrast, Mr. Zelensky X (formerly twitter) said: um I am grateful to the European leaders for such an active approach to independence, regional integrity and complete diplomacy that can help end this war with an honorable peace.
“Indeed, we all support President Trump’s determination, and together we must shape positions that will not allow Russia to deceive the world once again.
“We see that the Russian army is not preparing to finish the war. On the contrary, they are making preparations for new attack operations.
“In such cases, it is important that the unity of the world is not threatened.
“As long as they continue the war and profession, we should all maintain our pressure together – power pressure, sanction pressure, pressure of diplomacy.”
