The White House hidden Steve Bannon has an unusual solution because the Federal Reserve President Jerome Powell next year.

In a Podcast interview with Sean Spicek, who served as the White House Press Secretary in the first period of President Donald Trump, Bannon suggested that Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent be ruled as the Central Bank.

“I believe that Scott Bessent is both the Federal Reserve and the Treasury Secretary and perhaps pass through the interim elections, step into the Treasury and take over the Federal Reserve,” Bannon said. He said.

Bannon was the head of Trump in the first period of Trump, but the President took only seven months before he expelled him. However, it is still thought to be respected within the administration.

A White House response indicates that the proposal has little interest.

“Such an arrangement would not be by the White House and never thought.” He said.

Although it was not a direct historical precedent, he served as a former governor’s board of directors before the 1935 Banking Law and before the FED Presidency was formed. Janet Yellen, although these conditions were a few years apart, then took the Fed to the Treasury.

Bessent leads Powell’s search for successor when the presidency expired in May 2026. It is reported that 11 candidates are reported to be and they are thought to be one of them until they say that they are satisfied with their position in the Treasury.

Trump persistently criticized the Fed because it did not reduce interest rates aggressively.
