Last-start winner Bellevue leads Dilmi’s charge at Wyong

Domeland coach Nacim Dilmi hopes to continue his run of success at Wyong on Sunday, where he had a number of important chances in the meeting.

Dilmi had fielded 10 winners from his last 50 runners before Saturday’s meetings at Randwick and Newcastle.

The elite Sand and Soil travel to Wyong with three runners headed by last start winner Bellevue in the Midway Class 1 Handicap (1625m).

Bellevue is a three-year-old gelding sired by emerging sire Bivouac out of the Sebring mare. He did the job well, scoring at Taree against the Kris Lees-trained Noktaa when he was last produced. Anna Roper was on board for that event and stayed with Bellevue in Wyong.

Dilmi’s second runner of the day will be Warm Front, ridden by Chad Schofield, in the Bella Group Services Provincial Girls Handicap (1350m).

Warm Front failed to beat a runner in his first two races and started either side of the spell before improving in the final start seconds behind Lune D’Excellence at Taree.

Talented former Hong Kong galloon Kyeema will represent Dilmi and Roper in the McGrath Foundation Pink Race Day Domeland Women’s Invitation Race Benchmark 64 Handicap (1300m). Dilmi also booked Roper for Fireworks, an emergency in the same race.

Kyeema ran a gutsy race after a spell at the Kensington circuit with a close second behind Off The Press at Randwick, followed by a ninth place finish at the final start at Midway behind Oui Oui Oui at Randwick.
