Stray dog gang raped by group of men in Chikkanayakanahalli

Bellandur police tracked down a three-year-old female dog who was allegedly raped by a group of men in a workers’ shed near an apartment in Chikkanayakanahalli on October 13.
Based on a complaint filed by an animal activist, the police registered an FIR under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and also under section 325 (causing mischief by killing, poisoning, maiming or rendering useless any animal) of the BNS for further investigation.
According to the complainant, she was regularly feeding a stray dog named Mili, and on the night of October 13, she noticed a group of men raping the dog in the maternity shed. The dog was lost and three days later he discovered a lump in his private area.
He approached Varthur police and Varthur police later directed him to approach Bellandur police and lodged a complaint on October 18. The police tracked down the dog by analyzing more than 25 CCTV cameras in and around the area and with the help of veterinary staff, subjected the dog to a medical examination, collected a vaginal swab and sent it to FSL for further examination to establish the crime.
Police are waiting for the FSL report for further investigation.
