Chennai: The strong AIADMK-led NDA will come to power in April and will change the future of the state through infrastructure development and good governance, Tamil Nadu elections in-charge Piyush Goyal said on Thursday. Indicating that this combine would sweep the polls, ending the “corrupt and dynasty rule” of the DMK, he said after holding a breakfast meeting with AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami that they would strive for the well-being of the people and restore Tamil Nadu’s glory.

Palaniswami said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally near Chennai on January 23 will be a turning point ahead of the Tamil Nadu assembly elections as it will pave the way for the defeat of the “corrupt DMK regime”.
The purpose of Goyal’s breakfast meeting with the AIADMK general secretary at his residence on Greenways road was to finalize the NDA in the state ahead of the Prime Minister’s election rally.
The AIADMK leads the NDA in Tamil Nadu and the opposition bloc’s components include the BJP, PMK (Anbumani group), AMMK and the Tamil Maanila Congress (TMC-M) led by former union minister GK Vasan.
Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Goyal has requested the state government to remove Chief Minister MK Stalin’s son and deputy Udhayanidhi after the Madras High Court gave an order against hate speech on Sanatana Dharma.
“We completely oppose Udhayanidhi Stalin’s anti-national comments. I demand his removal from the government and action taken against him for his hate speech, dividing the people and creating social disharmony,” Goyal said. he said.
