ABC NRL commentator Andrew Moore hospitalised after suffering heart attack

Rugby League commentator Andrew Moore was taken to hospital after having a heart attack.

ABC commentator suffered a heart attack on Wednesday and had surgery according to ABC.

The health update was announced by Brett Sprigg, who replaced Moore for the match -breaking match between Penrith Panthers and Melbourne Storm in Sydney on Thursday night.

Sprigg said Moore was “a little shot” but remained in “good souls”.

In a statement to ABC Sport, Moore “(for their gratitude to doctors, nurses and hospital staff (for their gratitude)”.

“We are sorry to share that our colleague and friend Andrew Moore had recently had a heart attack,” he said.

“We all send our love and best wishes to Andrew in ABC Sport, and we can’t wait to hear your voice in the comment box when the time is correct.

“Until then, my friend – we have covered things. Focus on rest and healing.”
