‘Fantastic’ teenager found dead in lake near Birmingham as school and football club lead tributes
His teachers said that a child who was found dead in a lake near Birmingham brings “light and characters to his entire school.
Daniel Drewitt disappeared after going Sutton Park, Sutton Coldfield immediately after 18:00 on Thursday.
The savior called the 16 -year -old child, but his body was discovered later in the evening.
The Colmers School and the Sixth Form College described tribute to the child in Rednal and described him as “confident, full of life, talented athletes and both staff and other students”.
The Football Club, a former player in Northfield Town FC, made a statement after Daniel’s death. “Daniel was a wonderful young man who always wore a smile on the field or on the field and was loved by many people,” he said.
West Midlands police said he hadn’t been treated as suspicious of his death.
“We support Daniel’s family in this tragic time.
Boy’s School staff, the 11th year student was very shocked by the loss of the loss and said they were upset.

The staff at the school said they did their best to support the school community at a difficult time.
The school spokesman said: “Our pastoral team, school consultants and senior staff work together to provide special areas and support for both students and staff.
“This includes silent reflection opportunities, one -to -one conversations and access to emotional and welfare support for the coming days and weeks.”
