Suave Activewear: Perth FIFO worker Connor Wright, wife Chloe’s grovelling apology as public turns

A Perth FIFO worker who runs an activewear business has been forced to apologize after his wife posted an “inappropriate video” of someone at the gym and her own follow-up video came under intense criticism.
Connor Wright, who said his partner Chloe Wright runs her business Suave Activewear while he works away, uploaded a video from his car and said he couldn’t wait to address the issue.
“It’s time to address the video that Chloe shared on her personal Instagram story the other day,” Mr Wright said in a video posted on the business’ TikTok page.
The video he was referring to was a video of a man using a rowing machine during a conditioning workout at the gym. His wife, who posted the video, appeared to make fun of the man in the video for not using the rowing machine as he expected.
Here’s that video, which was reshared and criticized on the internet shortly after, as a reference.
“I own the business, she (Chloe) helps out while I’m away working on the FFIO two-in-one cast,” he explained, trying to distance his business from his wife’s controversial comments that erupted on social media.
Mr Wright’s statement that he was the owner confused some because the Sauve Activewear website lists both “Chloe and Connor” as founders.
“I really wanted to wait until Chloe and I got home to make this video because she really wants to apologize but my community means the world to me and you deserve an explanation.”
Mr Wright decided to reveal the “back story” in the hope that it could potentially alleviate criticism.
“He went out to dinner with his family and they were able to go to the gym while sitting at dinner,” Mr. Wright said.
“There was a guy at the gym who looked like his twin brother who rowed in high school, and he was using a different technique on the rowing machine.
“He videotaped it without his consent (sic) and posted this guy on his story with the caption ‘turns out we’ve been doing the rower wrong all these years’.”
Mr Wright said he did not post his video to “excuse the behaviour” but decided to point out that it had come to public attention after his partner’s post was screenshot/recorded and then shared on other social media pages.
‘Violated’: Chloe Wright’s apology
Mr Wright’s “setting the record straight” video was followed by a video his wife Chloe also shared on the activewear company’s TikTok page.
Ms Wright said she took some time to “stop and think” before issuing her apology just hours after her husband had sorted things out and his wife had only helped.
“I owe you all an apology,” he said, standing in front of a warehouse while wearing Suave Activewear.
“I took a video of someone doing their own thing at the gym, which was thoughtless and stupid and honestly should never have happened.
“I’m sorry to everyone I’ve offended… I’ll do better.
“The gym is a very vulnerable place and I violated that. I promise you I’ve learned from it and I hope you accept my apology.”

Chloe Wright’s apology drew reaction
The reaction to Ms. Wright’s apology on TikTok was less than stellar.
“He’s not actually sorry, he’s just trying to protect his company so they don’t lose money,” wrote a profile named Lachie.
Another said his apology was unfounded.
“A 27 second inauthentic video with only 10 seconds spent apologizing….crazy!” they wrote on TikTok.
One person even called her apology “robotic.”
“The most insensitive and robotic apology of 2026,” someone commented.
Additionally, apologies from both the owner and his helpful wife appear to have done little to persuade people to shop at Suave Activewear.
“I wouldn’t automatically buy from this brand just because the money would go to you,” wrote a person named Matilda.
Another suggested a closing sale might be coming.
Tom Hanson said, “Sooo…when is the 50% closing day sale?” he wrote.
