Suicide bomber kills 7 at Wedding in Pakistan; blast collapses roof, guests were dancing when attack hit | Video | World News

At least seven people were killed and 25 others were injured when a suicide bomber detonated an explosive vest during a wedding ceremony in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Friday.
The attack took place at the home of pro-government community leader Noor Alam Mehsud in Dera Ismail Khan district, while guests were dancing in the crowded venue. The powerful explosion caused the roof to collapse, disrupting rescue efforts and trapping victims under the rubble.
Among the dead was Wahidullah Mehsud, also known as Jigri Mehsud, a peace committee leader and former militant who surrendered to the state.

While no group claimed responsibility for the attack, the Pakistani Taliban (Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan) is suspected to be behind the attack.
