Sunderland Roker Park: Man’s body found as police issue statement | UK | News

Tragically, a man’s body has been found in a popular park in the North East. A large police cordon was set up as emergency services rushed to Roker Park in Sunderland following reports of concerns about the welfare of a man.

North East Ambulance and Northumbria Police attended the scene and a large part of the park was taped off by officers. A significant police cordon remains in place, but parts of the park are still open to the public. Northumbria Police released a statement confirming the man’s body had been found.
