Sunil Gavaskar questions Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli’s ODI return for Australia tour

Former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar expressed skepticism about the return of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli to the ODI team for an upcoming Australian tour, which is a real part of the long -term world cup plans.
Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are preparing to wear Indian Jersey once again for the three -game ODI series against Australia on October 19th. This series will be important as Kohli and Rohit will represent the Champions Cup final for the first time in March 2025. Sunil Gavascar, legendary former Indian cricket player, warned about the future of Kohli and Rohit.
Gavaskar said that if India toured Zimbabwe instead of Australia later this month, Rohit and Virat would not be present for the tour and would not criticize the iconic duo for his selective commitments.
India is a tour of the Australian tour for the White Ball series, and ODI matches have a significant preparation for more than 50 tournaments in South Africa. BCCI BAŞ SELECTOR Agit Agarar Virat and Rohit set up a 15 -member squad for the Australian series on Saturday, as they have been preparing to make their first international views since the Champions Cup in the UAE earlier this year.
“If this was a trip to the Zimbabve or the West Indian Islands, it would not have been available. But this is perhaps the reason why both decided to be available for this, because it was in Australia and lost to Australia in the Indian World Cup final.” He said.
“Look, it is not easy to play in a season, just seven or eight ODI, while preparing for something big as the World Cup.”
Gavaskar, Kohli and Rohit’in Vijay Hazare Trophy, such as participating in domestic cricket competitions should be busy and emphasized that they should remain appropriate.
Gavaskar said, “There is not much for players approaching the final stages of their careers or implementation. If they do not conflict with any international ODI tournament, they will have to play the Vijay Hazare trophy in India when planned.
Kohli and Rohit are the leading Scorers of the second and fourth of India in the ODIs, which are consistent elections for more than a decade. Nevertheless, Kohli is now 36 years old and Rohit is 38 years old, and questions about their future in sports are starting to emerge.
