Gauahar Khan married Zaid Darbar, son of Ismail Darbar, in 2020. The couple welcomed their first son, Zehaan, in 2023, and their second son, Farwaan, in 2025. After Ismail shared his reservations about working after marriage and motherhood, Gauahar shared a note about raising a son on her Instagram Stories.

Talking to Vickey Lalwani, the music composer said, “All I know is that Gauahar has a great relationship with Zaid and she is a great mother. There is no harm in being honest about it. But the biggest thing my wife Ayesha did was to stop working for her child. Look, I come from a backward family. Whenever there was an emotional scene in a movie, we would turn away. Even today it happens in our house.”

The Devdas composer added: “Gauahar is now a part of our family, we are responsible for her reputation. But I cannot tell her not to work; that is only Zaid’s right. That is why I do not indulge in activities that might disturb me. I am not one to mince words. I know that I cannot tolerate what I see, and if I cannot tolerate what I see, I will confront them.”

After her shocking revelations created a stir on social media, Gauahar shared the following note on her Instagram Stories: “Raising a boy is a beautiful kind of chaos. He runs instead of walking, climbs instead of sitting, and screams instead of whispering, but still he stops and kisses your cheek, holds your hand, and calls you beautiful with peanut butter on his face. In the midst of all the noise and chaos, his softness makes you feel like you’re the whole world.”
