Surge In Black Magic Rituals Sparks Panic In Palakurthi

-Warangal: A series of incidents involving black magic rituals (Kshudra Poojas) have been reported in Palakurthi mandal of Jangaon district, leading to massive public outcry.

Within 48 hours, both a government-run boarding school and the residence of a local leader were targeted with black magic, leading residents to demand immediate police intervention.

Tension broke out in Guduru village, where girl students of the Government Scheduled Tribe (ST) Residential School launched a massive protest. They blocked the Palakurthi-Ghanpur main road, alleging that manager Renuka Rathod, manager Malleshwari and other staff brought two strangers to the hostel to perform black magic late on Sunday night.

According to the students, they were ordered to stay in their rooms on the pretext that senior officials were visiting the hostel. Students claimed that they saw staff using turmeric, vermilion, lemon and pumpkin while chanting mantras.

The girls said they were traumatized after yellow liquid was sprinkled in classrooms and on some students.

A similar incident created a stir in Gudikantatanda of the same mandal. Sarpanch Mahender and his family were shocked to find hidden signs, eggs, red chillies and lemons found outside their house on Monday midnight.

Locals claim such activities have become alarmingly frequent in the area.

Palakurthi MLA Yashaswini Reddy, who came to calm the protesters, watched the developments seriously. After hearing about the girls’ ordeal, he spoke to district collector Sheikh Rizwan Basha, asking him to immediately launch an investigation and suspend the school staff responsible.

The issue turned political when former minister T. Harish Rao criticized the Congress government on social media and stated that they were worried about the safety of students.

Jangaon police registered the cases and launched a mandal-wide investigation. It was stated that the school principal was on leave and the principal was not present.
