FIRST ON FOX: Republicans made a final Election Day push to remind voters of the scandals surrounding Virginia Democratic attorney general candidate Jay Jones, distributing five different stickers highlighting them.

State and county governments often offer “I voted” stickers to voters heading to the polls every two years as a way to show pride in performing their duties, and the Republican Attorneys General Association has taken that tradition one step further.

Four of the five stickers are formatted with the slogan “I didn’t vote…” in a red circle: each highlights one of Jones’ scandals.

“I didn’t vote for the ‘get out of jail free’ guy,” read one sticker depicting Jones wearing a stovepipe hat, dressed as Uncle Pennybags from Monopoly.

The sticker refers to an ongoing but vaguely detailed investigation after Jones confirmed he would perform 1,000 hours of community service in exchange for an arrest for reckless driving.

Five hundred hours were logged with his political action committee and another 500 hours were logged with the state NAACP chapter.

While officials from both units swore the accuracy of his time served, the time sheets were never released, and a Fox News Digital Freedom of Information Act request with New Kent County returned no documents; Officials said they could not create them under state law, citing an ongoing investigation.

Another sticker read: “I didn’t vote for the man who resorted to political violence,” while a third read: “I didn’t vote for the man with two bullets.”

The fourth read: “I didn’t vote for the man who wrote psychological texts.” All three were references to Jones’ texts condemning then-House Speaker Todd Gilbert (R-Shenandoah).

Del. Jones, R-Hopewell. To Carrie Coyner, late Del. Gilbert. Joe Johnson, D-Bristol, sent a message saying he was angry about her cozy relationship.

Johnson, one of the last Democrats in centrist and overwhelmingly conservative southwestern Virginia, had recently died and Gilbert had delivered a eulogy.

Jones told Coyner that he suspected Johnson was too friendly with Gilbert and thought they were chatting at the Democratic caucus; this led him to imagine that the Republican leader would be shot twice in the head as an alternative to killing both former German chancellor Adolf Hitler and former Cambodian militant Pol Pot.

He later imagined the deaths of Gilbert’s children and said the MP’s wife, Jennifer Gilbert, was raising “little fascists.”

Jones later wrote that he wanted to urinate on their graves and “make them float in something.”

Those words were the focus of RAGA’s fifth sticker they distributed on Tuesday; It featured a popular depiction of Calvin from Calvin & Hobbes urinating with a mischievous grin on his face.

The last sticker said, “Don’t you agree with Jay Jones? He’s going to pee on your grave,” with Calvin urinating on a gravestone with “GOP” written on it.

According to reports at the time, the original version of the Calvin sticker started as a bumper sticker in the 1990s, which comic book artist Bill Watterson thought was unauthorized and unlicensed.
