Why were schools closed on July 7?

PMC withdraws temporary water cuts
Separately, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has temporarily withdrawn the alternate day water supply schedule from July 7 to July 12.
The civic body said rainfall in the dam basin has improved reservoir storage. He also cited the arrival of a large number of Warkari pilgrims for the Palkhi 2026 procession as a reason for ensuring uninterrupted water supply during this period.
Depending on rainfall and reservoir levels, a new decision will be made regarding water rationing after July 12.
