Sydney Sweeney’ Euphoria’ OnlyFans scenes triggers viewer backlash

“Euphoria” faced backlash once again after Sydney Sweeney went topless in the show’s most explicit scene this season.
In Sunday night’s episode, Sweeney’s character, Cassie Howard, wore a low-cut, polka-dot dress while jumping rope for OnlyFans subscribers. She was also seen using a pleasure device on herself in one video, sending her used underwear to her subscribers, and even sucking her own toe.
Sweeney’s Cassie finally reached her limit after an OnlyFans subscriber asked her to “fart in a jar” for $700.

X users focused on the last part.
“Sydney Sweeney, they can’t pay you enough for all this, like the money can’t be that good,” one user said. wrote.
Another added, “Does Sydney Sweeney really like doing that much nudity? Like if a woman likes that I won’t police her but woah #enthusiasm.”
“Cassie’s over-sexuality ruins Euphoria for me.”
Many people called out “Euphoria” for taking this episode “too far.”

Cassie also went on a press tour after skyrocketing to fame thanks to her OnlyFans career. In one clip, Cassie appears as a guest on Trisha Paytas’ online show, where she discusses her views on modern political discourse.

“If a guy today said he wanted a girlfriend who could cook or clean, he’d be screaming the N-word,” Cassie tells Paytas.
A voice off-camera replies: “You sound like a Democrat.” Cassie laughs before responding with a derogatory insult: “Not me.”

In another clip, Cassie adds: “I feel like American men are treated like second-class citizens.”

“In the past, men were hunters, gatherers and protectors. Now they are forced to walk on tiptoe. This is unnatural,” he continues.

Later in the episode, Alexa Demie’s character, Maddy Perez, says to Cassie: “You know what’s funny? The angrier these idiots get, the more money you make.”

Some social media users suggested that Sweeney was “not acting” in the episode and that his personal political beliefs were reflected on-screen.
Over the past few years, Sweeney has been at the center of politically charged controversies, including the American Eagle campaign and his mother’s “MAGA”-themed birthday party.

Another user commented, “When actors aren’t acting.” on Instagram. A third added: “Honestly is Sydney Sweeney acting at this point?”
Others pushed back, stating that Sweeney was playing a fictional character and his lines should not be confused with his real-life views.
“So now we get angry at the political views of fictional characters?” one user wrote. “Libs will be mad at a fake TV show character,” added another.
