Rahul Gandhi said, “A culture of greed and disrespect for other living beings is spreading in India. The air we breathe, the water we are forced to drink and the crumbling infrastructure around us are the results of this greed. Yuvraj Mehta’s death is a direct result of this culture.” “How we react to his death, how we respond to other people’s suffering, how we respond to other people’s suffering will determine the type of society we live in. What needs to be understood is that the direct consequence of treating other people badly is that you will be treated badly,” the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha said.
A 27-year-old man died after his car crossed the drain line and fell into water at Sector-150 junction under the jurisdiction of Knowledge Park Police Station in Greater Noida, police said on January 18. The victim’s family claimed gross administrative negligence, claiming timely intervention could have saved his life as he struggled for two hours.
The incident took place on the night of January 16-17, within the jurisdiction of Bilgi Park Police Station.
What measures did the government take against the administration?
Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh government on Monday suspended Noida’s chief executive officer (CEO) and Managing Director of Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) M Lokesh. Earlier today, Noida Police arrested Abhay Singh, CEO of real estate firm MZ Wiztown Planners, in connection with the case. Following his arrest, the CEO of MZ Wiztown Planners was brought to court and the court ordered one day of judicial custody.
The police will take the builder back to court tomorrow. The Uttar Pradesh government has also formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the entire incident. SIT chief Bhanu Bhaskar, who visited the scene with the team, stated that they will submit the investigation report within five days.
“SIT has been formed to investigate this incident. We have met the officials and family members of the deceased. The investigation has just started. We will submit the report after 5 days of investigation,” Bhaskar told reporters.

The post-mortem report of a Noida technician who died after his car fell into a drain in Greater Noida’s Sector 150 area has revealed that the cause of death was “asphyxia due to asphyxia before death followed by cardiac arrest”.
