IIT-Manipur, GSH sign MoU to collaborate on sustainable facility management solutions

IIT-Manipur and GSH India Private Ltd. signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate in the areas of facilities management, IOT, sustainability and smart building systems.

The MoU was signed by GSH India, a 100% subsidiary of GSH Group UK, at the Sustainable Energy Forum 2025 event held in Chennai.

The partnership focuses on joint research, internships, training and skills development programs to bridge the industry-academia gap, and both parties will share resources, co-develop projects and promote innovation in sustainable and technology-driven facilities management solutions.

Speaking at the event, Girish Palwe, Deputy Mission Director, Tamil Nadu Climate Change Mission, Department of Environment and Climate Change, said that Tamil Nadu is the first State to have a mission on climate change.

He said through the green school program, students are introduced to clean energy practices such as solar roofs, LED retrofits and energy-saving habits.

Mr. Palwe said 297 green schools were selected across Tamil Nadu across four phases, spreading the message of sustainable energy. An All-in-One mobile App by GSH was also launched at this event.
