Wollongbar Avenue flanked by NSW police, emergency service workers

While police officers and other emergency services conducted a special operation, the people were asked to avoid a settlement street in Southwest Sydney.

The operation takes place on the Wollongbar Boulevard in Panania with civil servants affiliated to the Bankstown Police Region Command.

The air images show various emergency service vehicles, including multiple armored police vehicles on the street and in the front gardens of houses.

The man is thought to be in a house on the street, and the police hostage negotiators were called to the scene.

The two police officers were placed on the roof of a property on the street and looked at another house where multiple emergency vehicles were positioned.

The police band was built to prevent the entry of viewers at one end of the street.
