Prince Harry has admitted how “distraught” he felt after watching his then-girlfriend Meghan Markle in a steamy ‘sex scene’ on US TV show Suits. Harry described how awful he felt to witness the moment in his explosive memoir Spare, which was published in January 2023 and went on to become a bestseller.

Meghan, 43, played paralegal Rachel Zane in the American legal drama from 2011 to 2018 and was the love interest of character Mike Ross, played by Patrick J Adams. Harry revealed that a scene from season two left him feeling like he needed “electric shock” therapy to erase it from his memory.

He wrote: “I witnessed it [Meghan] and a fellow actor injuring each other in some sort of office or conference room.”

Conveying his thoughts about her actions, he added: “I didn’t need to see such things live.”

In a 2015 interview with Yahoo, Meghan was asked how it felt to portray the “most successful lawyer” alongside a cast of attractive actors.

Asked if it was difficult to work amidst all the “hotness”, Meghan said: “So how do you answer that? No. Absolutely not. That’s one of the perks of the job, right?”

In the United Kingdom, Spare sold 467,183 print copies in its first week, becoming the fastest-selling non-fiction book since Nielsen BookScan records began, beating its nearest rival by more than a quarter of a million copies to top the Official Top 50.

Prince Harry will see Meghan Markle hit the big screen once again as she makes a cameo in the upcoming Amazon MGM comedy Close Your Personal Friends.

The film, about a couple who befriends a famous couple during a trip to Santa Barbara, marks the return of Meghan, who lives nearby in Montecito with Prince Harry and their two children.

The film stars Brie Larson, Lily Collins, Jack Quaid and Henry Golding.

The role represents Meghan’s first return to acting since her royal life. She left her position on Suits eight years ago after announcing her engagement.
