ISS LIVE: NASA readying International Space Station evacuation after Russia air leak | World | News

NASA spokesperson Bethany Stevens shared on
“Cracks have always been a concern that NASA monitors closely.
“NASA and Roscosmos are working to determine the root cause of the cracks, and Roscosmos is managing the problem through operational mitigation measures and periodic partial repair work.
“Following the new leaks, Roscosmos chose to begin a more extensive repair operation on Friday, June 5.
“Out of an abundance of caution, NASA directed all four of the agency’s SpaceX Crew-12 members and NASA astronaut Chris Williams to assume a high security posture aboard the Dragon spacecraft while repairs continued.
“We continue to work with our Russian counterparts and the rest of the international community supporting the space station to reach a more durable solution.”
